Blog #14 Learning about God through people Anne Porter Hudgins

Something I find so powerful is the way we are able to learn about God through one another. Not just through the words we speak but the actions we take and how we live. The fact that God came into the form of man just shows how much we can learn from a man about God. Jesus is our ultimate model, yet if you look hard enough, you can see God's creation and each and every one of us. Looking at people knowing that God created them and loved them would make each of us treat one another in a different light. The idea of people teaching us about God is something that CS Lewis is so good at doing in his writing. You can see how he knew that people were in his life for a reason, to teach him something about gods love. The way he formulates characters and all of his writing is strategic to tell us something about ourselves and God, more importantly. And till we have faces, this theme is very prevalent as well as in Narnia.

Each person in our life is in it for a reason. They can bring the pain because they are human. They can bring sadness because they are human. They can bring happiness and joy because they're human. When we do not look for people to be our gods, we can appreciate and love deeper and stronger. Begin to do this requires us to look up some things. God is the only thing that can provide. God is the only thing that knows the facets of your life. But people, friends, and family are here to love you. And increased observed CS Lewis describes this so beautifully.
